About the Project

The project aims to equip teachers with leadership skills to tackle environmental challenges, adapt to digital transformation, and develop critical and ecolinguistic competencies. Teachers play a key role in shaping future generations, yet many lack the training and tools to integrate sustainability and digital innovation into their teaching.

EcoLeaders addresses this by developing teachers’ green digital, ecological, critical, and ecolinguistic skills, empowering them to promote environmental awareness among students and communities. In response to the climate crisis, the project prepares educators to become pioneers in green and ecological education.

Aligned with the EU Digital Education Action Plan (2021–2027), EcoLeaders focuses on enhancing green digital competencies, enabling teachers to use digital tools that support sustainability, reduce environmental impact, and improve climate literacy in classrooms.

The project also emphasizes critical thinking and ecolinguistic skills to help educators communicate environmental issues effectively and inspire students to critically reflect on their relationship with nature and society.
